About The News Blogs

It is the mission of the news blogs to provide first hand accounts of national and international news.  (It currently is not being used this way.  The news blogs was rushed into service during the 2008 election cycle.  Not all of the planned features are in place.)  This is what's planned:

1. Provide an outlet for writers to report on local events / news.  Ideally, these writers would include first responders in the police, firehouses, the military, and in government. News writers that work for other newspapers are encouraged to submit articles, If your own paper won't print the story you worked on, 'The News Blogs' will. Pseudonyms can be used to protect your job. 
2. If you're not a first responder, but have insight and a desire to investigate and write, please consider posting content here.  This sight is not necessarily ideologically driven, but places a high value on accuracy.
   
3. Provide a dynamic feed page that pulls feeds from selectedmajor news sites, filtered for veracity.   This will act as a dynamic news ticker, updating news real time as it happens.
   
4. Continue to provide second hand, veracity vetted articles from other news sites. 
   
5. Provide commentary to make some sense of the news.
6. The veracity thing is important.  Too much of the news from the MSM is in error, selective to a political agenda, misinterpreted, or just a pack of lies.
